Join CT DEEP wildlife expert Ginny Apple as she talks about Connecticut's changing landscape. This lecture will include a historical perspective that provides a brief natural history of Connecticut and how the landscape changed with the arrival of the Colonists and how these changes, over time, impacted wildlife in CT. It also addresses the current state of wildlife in the state, including a discussion of major species, factors affecting their habitats, challenges we face in managing them and suggestions for what people can do to make a difference.

Manchester, CT July 14th, 2022: The Manchester Public Library is pleased to host Mike Brown, CEO and Founder of Ember Studios, a multimedia company that specializes in Podcast Production and Coaching, for Part Two of our podcasting mini-series on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. at the Whiton Branch Library on 100 North Main Street.
Part Two of this mini-series, “Podcasting: First Steps”, is designed to take you from Confused to Confident when it comes to starting your new podcast. You will get specific advice on gear, how to release your show, and monetization. In the course of editing over 700 podcasts and producing thousands, Brown has learned key insights to help people go from Confused to Confident about their podcast or podcast idea. He also hosts 'The Ember Studios Podcast' which is dedicated to passing along inspiration, creative methods, and Podcasting advice.

My Perfect Pantry by Geoffrey Zakarian
This club meets monthly on Saturday afternoons from 12:30 to 2:30. Each month a theme, author or cookbook will be chosen. Participants are asked to pick one recipe from the book and come to the program with dish in hand on the date posted ready to discuss their experience. Dishes should arrive fully prepared and ready to share.
